Bulan bisa mengatur pasang surut air laut karena gaya gravitasinya menarik air Bumi. 🌊🌙 Saat Bulan berada di atas suatu wilayah, tarikan gravitasinya membuat air laut tertarik ke arahnya — terjadilah pasang. Di sisi Bumi yang berlawanan, gaya sentrifugal akibat rotasi Bumi membuat air juga menonjol, menciptakan pasang kedua. Ketika Bumi berputar, setiap wilayah pantai akan bergantian melewati tonjolan air ini, sehingga terjadi dua kali pasang dan dua kali surut setiap hari.
