The Mikoyan MiG-29 (Russian: Микоян МиГ-29; NATO code: Fulcrum) is a fighter aircraft created by the Mikoyan-Gurovich (MiG) design bureau of Russia, designed to replace the MiG-21, MiG-23, Su-15, and Su-17, as well as to compete with US fighter aircraft such as the F-15 Eagle and F-16 Fighting Falcon.
