STIPRAM held a special event to commemorate its 24th anniversary, holding a shadow puppet show in the Amarta ballroom. Shadow puppetry is a traditional Indonesian performing art that uses leather puppets (usually carved and colored buffalo hide) to tell stories. The performance is performed by a puppeteer (dalang) who moves the puppets behind a white screen, while light (formerly blencong, now electric) projects the puppets' shadows onto the screen—hence the name "shadow puppet." #budaya #waya
