Lynx are known to sometimes prey on young & sick Dall sheep (particularly during times of scarcity), but never fully grown rams... It was also an abundant year for the snowshoe hares, which make up over 75% of their diet. This healthy looking lynx is no match for a band of rams high in the mountains, but it would seem that big cats are hardwired to look for any opportunity of weakness regardless. It brief
