In aviation, a “shallow turn” is characterized by a small bank angle, typically less than 20 degrees. In competition aerobatics, “wing rocking” is a technique used by pilots to communicate with judges on the ground. When a competition pilot rocks the wings three times in a noticeable manner(in this video 90 degrees), it signals to the judges the start of the competition program, also called the sequence of maneuvers.
